How many diapers does a newborn use?

Plan on 8 to 12 a day in the early weeks. Count wet diapers too, since they are one sign baby is feeding well, and mention any worries to your pediatrician.

What helps with diaper rash?

Change diapers often, let the skin air dry, and use a zinc-oxide barrier cream. Call your pediatrician if it lasts more than a few days, blisters, or looks infected.
